Day Of Caring
What Is Day of Caring?
The Day of Caring is an annual event put on by United Way Estevan as well as United Ways around the country to celebrate volunteering and to help contribute to the community. Each year UW rounds up dozens of volunteers and arranges them to give a helping hand to local projects for people or organizations that would not otherwise be able to accomplish them. Even if you don’t register to be a part of our projects Day of Caring is the perfect day to help out a fellow neighbor by mowing their lawn, clean up the garbage on a street you pass by every day, or even just help someone cross the street. Volunteering is a crucial part of our world and United Way Estevan is working hard to bring it to the forefront of our community.
When Is Day of Caring?
Day of Caring 2012 will be held on May 30th 2012. There will be projects all morning and afternoon with a “come one, come all” barbeque lunch held at noon. We are currently preparing the for the coming year and will be announcing the sign up deadlines for both projects and volunteers soon.
