Muscular Dystrophy Canada is a national voluntary organization with a mission to “generate the financial and human resources necessary to help people challenged by neuromuscular disorders today, while researching for tomorrow’s cure.”
Muscular Dystrophy Canada was incorporated in 1954 by a group of parents, firefighters and friends of children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and now represents more than 40 different neuromuscular disorders that affect tens of thousands of Canadians.
Their motto is “until there’s a cure, there’s us”
