The Canadian Red Cross Society is a volunteer based humanitarian organization founded in 1896 and incorporated in 1909. They provide emergency relief and humanitarian service to the public through international emergency, first aid, water safety and community based health and social services.
The mission of the Society is to help people deal with situations that threaten their survival and safety, their security and well being and their human dignity in Canada and around the world.
