The mission statement of The Arthritis Society is to search for the underlying causes and subsequent cures for arthritis, and to promote the best possible care and treatment for people with arthritis.

Arthritis is a very significant health issue with over 4 million in Canada / 150,000 in Saskatchewan and 2,800 in Estevan living with one or more types of arthritis.  This number is expected to increase in our province to over 296,000 by 2011 as the baby boomers reach the high-risk arthritis years.  The Society’s support for research into causes and cures, education, promotion of healthy living and advocating on behalf of those with arthritis, remain as important today as they did at our inception almost 60 years ago.

The Arthritis Society is the only organization, public or private, solely devoted to helping people with arthritis; more than 150,000 in the province of Saskatchewan.  Visit www.arthritis.ca or call 1.800.321.1433 to find out more about arthritis and the programs and services we offer in your community.
